Client Testimonials

"When I bought an apartment in Ronda in 2001 and a house in 2003, Paul was an invaluable help in my dealings with estate agents, lawyers, at the bank and at the notary. It’s too risky to do it all without a competent interpreter. Many do, but I would strongly advise against it."
Dr J Burgess, Warrington, UK, January 2010

In order to ensure top quality we only use native speakers.  In addition, all our translations are thoroughly checked and proofed for accuracy and authenticity by a third party.

A1 Translations is part of a network of translators, based both in Spain and elsewhere. Consequently, we have access to a full range of trained, professional translators who can cover most languages.  In other words, if we can’t do it, we know someone who can. Languages covered recently include English, Spanish, French, German, Norwegian, Russian, Dutch, Swedish and Catalán.

A1 Translations: Translation

altTranslation pricing is dependent on three variables; the language in question, the degree of difficulty of the text and the desired delivery time.  So, common languages like English and Spanish are cheaper than German and French, which in turn are cheaper than Russian, Norwegian or Greek.  Legal or technical texts are more expensive than material in normal everyday language.  If a translation is needed in a hurry, it may cost a little more. The price is based on the word count of the source text.

A1 Languages: Interpreting

Interpreting services are available in English, Spanish, German, and French.  All situations are covered, both formal, eg at the notary, in court, at a lawyer’s, at the bank, and informal, eg house viewings, NIE, police, Town Hall, builders, plumbers, electricians, etc.  No interpreting job is too big or too small.

Typical rates are € 20 per hour, but are negotiable depending on the nature of the job and the amount of time spent.  Please ask for a free, no-obligation quotation by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. A1 Translations: Frequently Asked Questions

How much will it cost?

altTranslation prices vary.  While high prices do not necessarily guarantee high quality, low prices will almost certainly not give you the quality of translation that your company, product or service demands.  After all, if a translator is charging little more than a cleaner or babysitter, they are unlikely to be giving your job the attention and care it deserves.
