Just emerged from a monumental hangover caused by my despedida de soltero last night.  I’m told by Armando, the landlord, that it was the patxarán I had at the end of five hours of drinking beer that caused the problem!  I think the beer might also have had something to do with it! Considering it was arranged at the last minute, I was touched by the number of people that turned up, some from as far afield as Jimera de Líbar!  Two Australians, a German, a Pole, and a Dane, as well as Spanish and English friends from the village, all turned up to wish me well.  A splendid night!

When I went to Armando’s to pay the bill this evening (I didn’t have enough on me on the night) he said next time I have a stag night I have to eat tapas in between the drinks!
