If you’re missing Radio 4’s Afternoon Play out here in Spain, why not try listening to Wrong Side of the Road Theatre Company on the internet?

WSR Radio is an initiative to create innovative new comedies and dramas for radio, championed by young creative writers, actors, directors, musicians and production people.  WSR Radio is storytelling for listeners in the digital age and is available everywhere completely free.

WSR Radio is currently running two series, uploading an episode a week. “The Captain Campaign”, a clever political satire about a party whose leader dies suddenly, is uploaded every Monday. They’re already up to episode 5 but you can catch up with previous episodes on the website.

“The Brothers Jack” began last Thursday. This is an amusing epic fairy tale which sounds very promising after the first episode. Other plays and series can be listened to in the website’s archive.

The standard of voice acting and production is outstanding.  With excellent sound effects and impressive original musical, this independent radio station is well worth a listen.
