"Paul’s extensive knowledge of Spanish has been an invaluable asset to me recently. When my husband passed away suddenly, Paul made himself available at all times to guide me through the difficult process of Spanish protocol. I could not have wished for a more helpful and sensitive friend during this tragic time.”

Impressions of a lost week
Mittwoch, den 08. Dezember 2010 um 13:00 Uhr

I’ve been away and/or unwell with the Spanish equivalent of Delhi belly for the best part of a week so I've been unable to post on my blog. So, what's been happening?

Well, it was a week in which large parts of Europe were brought to a standstill by snow and ice; Spanish Air Traffic controllers went on a wildcat strike; the WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, was arrested on an alleged rape charge; Spain had two bank holidays in three days and came to a virtual standstill; Arsenal went top of the Premier League and, best of all, England thrashed Australia in the Adelaide cricket test!

In the Serranía de Ronda we had storms, high winds and rain as bad as anything we had last year and all the houses that were freshly painted white again this summer and autumn are starting to look a little green around the gills again.

But, hey, life goes on ..... and a very nice life it is too!
