Ashes to ashes ...
Mittwoch, den 29. Dezember 2010 um 00:00 Uhr

Well, our boys down under did it! Contrary to the view of the bookies, England have retained the Ashes today.

Yes, despite their crushing defeat in Perth in the 3rd Test just before Christmas, England’s cricketers have fought back magnificently to thrash Australia by an innings and 157 runs in the 4th Test in Melbourne. After the drawn 1st Test in Brisbane and England's stunning victory in Adelaide two weeks ago, they are now 2-1 up in the five-Test series. Even if Australia win the final match in Sydney, a drawn series means that England, as holders, retain the Ashes.

Personally, I think the lads should go all out for a win in Sydney, just to rub the Ozzies’ noses in it, like they have done to us for over two decades. Who said cricket was a gentleman’s game?
