If you’re a Facebook or Twitter user, watch out you don’t give away too much information to would-be burglars! Posting that you’re going on holiday or are away from home may mean you coming back to an empty house – empty of your possessions, that is!

Researchers have found that it is quite easy for a potential thief to find out your address and be relatively confident that no-one is at home when they call round to break in.
