This year some funny things are happening with the calendar.

The month of July 2011 has five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays. This only happens every 623 years. Similarly, the month of October has five Saturdays, five Sundays and five Mondays. That only happens every 823 years.

That’s not all; this year we’ll have had four extraordinary dates: 1.1.11 / 1.11.11 / 11.1.11 and 11.11.11.

Finally, if you add the last two digits of your birth year and your age, you get the figure 111. Try it. In my case, (19)50 + 61 = 111, it certainly works.

I wonder when the next interesting year will come along.
