If you care about our local environment here in Ronda and the possible impact of the proposed CorrMed high speed freight rail line through Llano de la Cruz and the Guadiaro valley, please come to the following meeting:

Date: Thursday 1 March

Time: 18.00 hours

Place: Convento de Santo Domingo, Ronda

On the panel will be spokespersons for Izquierda Unida (the United Left Party), Silvema (the environmental protection group for the Serranía de Ronda) and the Partido Popular (People's Party).

It commemorates the referendum, held on 28 February 1980, on the Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia, in which the Andalusian electorate voted for the statute that made Andalusia an autonomous community of Spain.

* The 'Stella Awards' are named after Stella Liebeck who, back in 1992, then aged 79, spilled a cup of McDonald's coffee onto her lap, scalding herself. She sued the burger chain and a New Mexico jury awarded her $2.9 million in damages. The case has inspired lawyers, judges, and other interested parties to search for other lawsuits that are even more ridiculous. Naturally, they have found them .....
