Client Testimonials

"Paul’s extensive knowledge of Spanish has been an invaluable asset to me recently. When my husband passed away suddenly, Paul made himself available at all times to guide me through the difficult process of Spanish protocol. I could not have wished for a more helpful and sensitive friend during this tragic time.”
Jill La Pêche, Montejaque, January 2010

What have we done?

As we turned the corner between two huge rocks, we glimpsed Ronda shimmering in the distance, white and bright atop its huge cliff. Moments later it disappeared from view, but then, suddenly, there it was again in all its glory as we drew nearer to our destination.

It was the year 2000 and we were on a Silver Wedding Anniversary tour of Andalucía. Ronda was to be our first port of call in a tour that would subsequently take in Arcos de la Frontera, Jerez, Carmona, Córdoba, Antequera and Málaga. But Ronda turned out to be the highlight...

Approaching this most impressive of the pueblos blancos of Andalucía from the Costa del Sol is to marvel at its location and to be impressed by the ingenuity of the Moors who first established a settlement there 13 centuries ago. Small wonder then that Ronda, with its historic buildings, hidden squares, stunning views and vibrant life, forms part of the Grand Tour of Andalucía, along with Granada, Sevilla and Córdoba.

Small wonder also that over the next 12 months we returned several times in search of our own little pied-à-terre in the sun. After many viewings, we finally found what we wanted during a damp week in October 2001, but that’s another story...
