The interview dates from 1974 so you can imagine the hair and the ties! They even allowed interviewees to smoke back then - Welles is puffing on a huge Havana cigar throughout this fascinating "chat". As Parkinson reminds us in the introduction, when Welles saw Parky's wodge of papers he asked what they were. My questions, said Parky. Throw them away! boomed Welles, Let's just talk! The interview is long and wide-ranging and covers everything from Watergate, to Hollywood, from bullfighting, to his relationship with Ernest Hemingway. It's absolutely fascinating!
