I was there with a friend to act as an interpreter and the place was heaving. The fact that the place had been shut for the three previous working days, because of the Puente de la Inmaculada, won’t have helped, but I’ve never seen the place so busy. And so slow – all the officials seemed to move in slow motion and took an eternity to deal with each case. Perhaps they all still had hangovers from the five-day weekend just passed! © Paul Whitelock Tags: dole queue, unemployed, Ronda, INEM, interpreter, Puente de la Inmaculada, Paul Whitelock, www.a1-solutions-spain.com

November saw a rise in the number of people unemployed in Ronda. The new total is 4,441 which is 113 more than in October. And I think they must have all been at the INEM, the Unemployment Office, today!
