It’s somewhat ironic that, just as Spain is finally going to catch up with the rest of Europe by imposing a smoking ban in public places (as of this coming Sunday, 2 January 2011), they're opening cannabis smoking clubs left, right and centre!

Apparently keen weed smokers have discovered a loophole in the Spanish law on cannabis: you can’t buy, sell or transport the drug legally, but you can smoke it in private – hence the emergence of the private clubs.
