The Málaga Jazz Quintet performed its first ever concert on 21 September, 2003, International Peace Day, in the Cánovas Theatre in Málaga. They were so successful that their name has stuck in the minds of the people of Málaga. Subsequently they performed in all the concert halls in Málaga and many along the Costa del Sol. They have taken part in three Málaga International Jazz Festivals and the Granada International Festival of New Jazz. The group has very strong professional musicians and plays in a variety of musical styles, including blues, bebop, funky, bossa nova, latin jazz y modern jazz. The group's consistent performances and the way they interact with their audiences has brought them very good reviews in recent years. Organised by the Delegación de Cultura del Excmo.
