English books in Ronda
Thursday, 04 August 2011 00:00

People often ask me where you can buy English books in Ronda. I know of two places that sell English fiction, sometimes at discounted prices.

Librería Dumas at Calle Jerez 8 has a small section of popular English fiction. They have a website www.libreriadumas.com/

Acento, at Calle Remedios 11 has a slightly larger choice. This stationer’s-cum-bookshop-cum-newsagents has only been open for 18 months and is run enthusiastically by a young man called José María. He is happy to order books for you too.

There is also the English Book Exchange, based at the Andalucía Soap Company shop at Calle Sevilla 23. The Book Exchange is held in the shop the second Wednesday and last Saturday of every month from 11am - 2pm. It’s just 5 euros to join and then you can exchange books! Check out this link for more information: The Book Exchange

The Library in the Casa de Cultura, Calle Virgen de la Paz, also has some English books, but you have to be a resident and join the library to be able to borrow them.

If anyone knows of anywhere else where you can obtain reading matter in English, please complete and send a comment form below.
