A good railway story has emerged amid concerns in many quarters about the possible environmental impact of the proposed Mediterranean Corridor high-speed freight line through Ronda.

It has been announced that the Al Andalus luxury train is to be revived and will visit the town as part of its itinerary through Andalucía.

The Pullman-type service which uses carriages from the early part of the 20th Century and stopped some years ago is to be revived, but with prices starting at 2500 euros per person for a twin cabin it won’t be for everybody!
