These comments were very pleasing for us, as that had been our intention when setting up the properties as holiday rentals! Both places had in fact been homes previously, Piso Blanco for me and Casa Rita for Rita - and subsequently for us both after we met and fell in love.

So after we married and moved to the campo near Ronda we decided to rent our surplus properties. From the start it was our policy to maintain the homely feel and to offer more than the typical holiday rental unit.

To that end both places have well-stocked kitchens with oil, vinegar, condiments, herbs and spices, tea, coffee, sugar, kitchen rolls, etc. and we also provide guests with a small welcome pack of drinks – water, milk, fruit juice, wine or cava – and organic seasonal vegetables from our garden.

Bathrooms are provided with soap, shampoo, shower gel, toilet rolls, etc.

Each property has satellite TV, DVD player, stereo and iPod speakers, as well as an extensive library of books, CDs, DVDs, board games and jigsaw puzzles.

Of course, bed linen and towels are included too, as well as gas, electricity and water. Also logs in winter at Casa Rita.

Piso Blanco, a lovely centrally-heated apartment which sleeps up to four people, is in the peaceful San Francisco quarter of Ronda. The barrio has a village feel and a full range of small shops, as well as bars and restaurants. It is on the edge of countryside, yet only a few minutes walk to the old part of Ronda.

Casa Rita, is a traditional village house with a log fire in the Arab quarter of Montejaque, one of the most beautiful of the pueblos blancos. The house sleeps up to six people and offers extensive accommodation on two floors, as well as two terraces, a patio and a sitting area. The village offers most amenities and is an ideal spot for walking, birdwatching, painting, photography or just relaxing in a tranquil environment.
